Shrunk Love for Punk? Met Gala 2013: Punk Eats Beauty

What happens when punk meets beauty?
Some extravagant sassiness for sure---for better or worse. Last night the Met went saucy with its annual Met Gala, kick starting their new exhibition "Punk: Chaos to Culture" on view from May 9th until August 4th.
MyDROBE picks out some incredible looks from the night, some treading on the threshold of "is this punk?" Thought to chew on: what is punk, anyway?

Coco Rocha wears Emanuel Ungaro

Panther gone Punk-ther? And it slits too.

Kim Kardashian wears Riccardo Tisci

Clearly there was another party going on.

Madonna wears Givenchy and tots in Casadei

Addams family gone punk?

Marc Jacobs wears Comme des Garçons and Sofia Coppola wears Marc by Marc Jacobs, of course

Kristen Stewart wears Stella McCartney

...and some looks just seem to truly redefine and explore how incredible punk can be.

Cara Delevingne is dashing in shocking Burberry

Killer hair + the classic countless studs.

Anne Hathaway wears Valentino

Who knew Anne Hathaway could be so punk? Our very own little chameleon...

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in a Gucci Fall 2013 gown

Who would've thought pairing olive silk fringes with lace could be pulled off so flawlessly?

Miranda Kerr kills it in Michael Kors

Clever crucifix. Piercing silver nails. Cunning.

Taylor Swift looking spicy in J.Mendel

Will punk stay around long enough for us to figure out its possibilities? We say let's do it.

And that's right Miley, we didn't feel the need to include you... we get it - you're punk.

Coachella Part II

We gave you a day to cool off, a day to download all of the music you heard and a day to go shopping for all the hot looks you saw out west... that's right - The Coachella music festival kicked off this past weekend at The Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, to less than favorable conditions. With temperatures around 52 degrees and wind around 37 miles per hour, people began to coin the phrase 'Blowchella' this year.

But lets be honest, most of these die hard fans, celebs, and fashionistas did not come to Coachella for a tan, they came for a show and the fashion and that is exactly what they got.
With epic performances from Phoenix including a special appearance featuring R. Kelly belting out 'Bump n' Grind', few were disappointed this year.

Highlights included Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Janelle Monae, The Savages, 2 Chainz, Blur, Major Lazer, and, of course, The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Rumors were circulating all year about Daft Punk making an appearance after a 7 year hiatus from the festival. They found a way to do so, in video form, but fans went crazy anyway.

Rolling Stone discovered a British flair in the festival this year and clung to Johnny Marr's beautiful renditions of The Smiths. The Stone Roses were also a band to watch this year with a vast and loyal U.K. following.

Then there's the wardrobe. The second (and possibly first) reason you decided to roll into Cali this weekend.
Think Dolce & Gabbana, crop-tops, denim cut-offs, floppy hats, and crazy shades. Oh and some of our favorite celebs like Alexa Chung, Kate Bosworth, Katy Perry, Paris Hilton and Kristen Stewart rocking their own incredible styles.

If this made you bummed you missed the show, have no fear Drobers, you can access videos at http://www.youtube.com/user/coachella . No you may not get the full experience of glow sticks, questionable hygiene, blasting music, and mesmorizing lights, but there's always next year!
