Resort Wear, Try Anywhere!

We are a little less than 3 months away from the premiere of Spring 2014 collections at fashion week. Do you need something to hold you over until then?
Perfect - because Resort 2014 collections are OUT!
Resort collections can be somewhat confusing though... Is it just a beachwear collection as the name suggests? It was initially a collection designed for the wealthy to wear on their mid-winter resort vacations, but has now shifted as a year-round seasonal trend for us all.
These inter-season collections mix functionality with fashion - containing everything from bathing suits to formal gowns, and basing most of their looks on nautical influences. So, with that, we present you the hottest trends from Resort 2014!

Sheer Overlays
Dior, Vera Wang, Bottega Veneta

Peek-a-boo! We've been seeing a lot of sheer fabrics throughout the past few seasons. Resort 2014 is continuing the trend with these see-through looks. The high-necklines and longer hems give these designs a tasteful sophistication.

Cropped
Versace, Jason Wu, Dior

Have you been killing yourself with crunches to obtain sculpted abs? These crop top ensembles are perfect to show off all of your hard work.

Mix & Match
Suno, See by ChloƩ, Jean Paul Gaultier

Who would have guessed that snakeskin and floral prints would go well together? Print mixing and matching is no new thing, but the Resort 2014 collections revived this look with a dash of unconventional freshness.

Stripes
Thakoon, Gucci, Rachel Zoe

Stripes are back! They're bold and adventurous; they're horizontal, vertical, and curved; they're black and white, clashing colors, and mixed prints. There are so many different ways to wear stripes this season!

Inspired!? Us too... now get shopping Drobers!

Father's Day: Learn From the Best

Good morning Drobers. There's a very important holiday coming up, and it's going to take some serious shopping to get your father the best present you possibly can for Father's Day. There's nothing we like better than a well dressed dad, but the question is: what kind of dad is yours? We've picked some of the most stylish celebrity dads to give you some ideas about what category yours falls under.

So how do you know what kind of dad you have? Check out his style, and compare it to these guys!

The Jetsetter

Brad Pitt

Brad is one of our favorite celebrity dads. Scratch that. Brad is one of our favorite celebrities. The man adopts three kids with Angelina Jolie and then is the most attentive dad of all time. Besides, it's Brad Pitt. The man can dress damn well.

Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck. Good looking, well dressed, great director, and an extremely attentive dad. He's definitely one to aspire to, dads.

Matthew McConaughey

We all know him. We all love him. King of the chick flicks, and a true fashion icon. Did you also know that he's an awesome dad?

The Wrangler

Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman is the definition of rough and tumble, but he cleans up well. He's also one of the most loving dads we've ever seen.

Tim McGraw

He may be gettin' gray hairs, but he can still rock a v neck and blue jeans like the good old boy he is.

Brad Paisley

More cowboy hats. I don't hate it. Casual style, great jeans, great dad. What more could you want?

The Business Man

Chris Noth

We all remember him from "Sex and the City", but when he's not breaking Sarah Jessica Parker's heart, he's rocking some boss suits and being an awesome dad.

John Stewart

Intelligent, funny, good looking, and damned well dressed. Oh, and he's a great dad. Well done, John Stewart.

Pierce Brosnan

Bond. Enough said. Stylish, modern suits, for the modern man.

The Artist

Chris Martin

The Coldplay frontman encaptures the European "starving artist" category perfectly.

David Beckham

Soccer player turned dad turned model is the perfect man to match style for your dad...if you're looking at underwear. Never mind. Just enjoy the eye candy.

Usher

This daddy knows style like no other, check out some leathers from brands like All Saints.

SWIMS Footwear: Get Gome Fashion Traction

I think we've figured out that, even though they were a huge fad, Crocs were just never that cool. Let's be honest... they're downright heinous. But for the people who prefer some rubber in their sole, we've got you covered with one of our new favorites, Swims Footwear.

Swims was started by Norwegian Johan Ringdal in 2006 after he graduated the Parson's School of Design in New York. Swims first explosion onto the fashion scene was a rehabilitation of a long forgotten niche of the overshoe.

Before coming out with the galosh-like loafers, the brand had four types of over shoe. For women, they had the Ballerina and the City Slipper, the former for flats and the latter for heels. For men, they had a classic loafer style, called the Classic, and the Mobster, which is an ankle high covering.

In 2010, they launched a shoe to be worn on its own, the shoe that they are now famous for, the Loafer. These loafers present style and function: they look great, dry quickly, and they're non-slip. Perfect for that windy day on the yacht. Or boat. Or dock. Or for just sitting inside pretending you had any of those.

They've spread out from just the loafer look, though. They now do all types of sneakers, wingtips, and other styles. They've even done some big partnerships.

In 2012, Armani models walked down the runway in Milan wearing SWIMS overshoes, showing off the excellent craftsmanship of the Scandinavian brand.

In addition, hop in to any John Lobb store and you'll find some awesome overshoes made by, guess who, SWIMS. These overshoes are custom made to fit the John Lobb shoes. And they look damn good.

These shoes and overshoes will protect do great in any kind of muck you get yourself into, whether it's inclement weather or just good old beer sludge. So move over, Sperry's, jump into the water, Crocs, and drive on, Cole Haan, there's a new sherrif in town, and he looks good.

Tony Awards 2013: Fashion Hits the Red Carpet

You know it's going to be a night for the record books when Neil Patrick Harris steps out on stage to host anything, especially the Tony Awards, for the fourth time. His opening sketch had the entire audience giving him a standing ovation for nearly fifteen minutes. You go, NPH.

"Kinky Boots" was the clear winner, taking home six Tony's, including Best Musical, one of the more coveted awards of the show. But what's a musical without a score? Enter Cyndi Lauper.

Cyndi went through a costume change herself a couple of times. She wore Valentino and many more throughout the evening.

She's more than just "Girls Just Want to Have Fun." The 80's icon accepted her award quite choked up; thanking first her mother and then every member of the cast and crew for their hard work and dedication to the show.

If you've never heard of "Kinky Boots" before, it's a remake of the 2005 film in which a factory owner saves his failing business by changing the company into a fetish footwear shop for cross-dressers.

There are few things in this world we love more than the red carpet. And we're not allowed to put those few things on here. Check out some of the most beautiful looks from the night.

The stunning Anna Kendrick in a Donna Karan Atelier dress

Matthew Morrison in a Brooks Brothers suit and striped cummerbund

The beautiful Sienna Miller in a Burberry dress

Scarlett Johansson making hearts stop in her Saint Laurent dress and blazer, too bad she couldn't make hearts stop with her thespian career. Sucks to suck Scarlett.

Cicely Tyson, showing off her Tony and a bold ruffled purple gown. It was a bold step for Cicely, but an even bolder step for fashion.

Debra Messing in a Matthew Christopher Marchi Sobaski dress that is both cute and chic. Drobe Approved!

Jane Lynch in a great looking Dolce and Gabbana three-piece suit, simple, elegant, and probably more comfortable than anyone else's stuff.

Judith Light in a elegant long white gown by Zac Posen, and you cannot go wrong with that look.

Sigourney Weaver stayed simple in this blue Michael Kors dress.

We'll see you on the next red carpet, Drobers. Stay chic.
