Iris Von Arnim Launches E-Commerce Site

On Wednesday, July 10th, cashmere giant Iris Von Arnim revealed its E-Commerce store, and that means more luxuriously soft threads for you whenever and wherever you want them.

The German brand was launched in 1978 and has been a mainstay for more than three decades. Iris Von Arnim was one of ten designers to redefine German fashion and distinguish it as its own beautiful style, and the brand has since been recognized as one of the best of its generation.

"The Queen of Cashmere," as she is fondly known in Europe, says that the new Fall collection is "inspired by the woman of the twenty first century, her emotions, fears, the travels that thrill her." Well if anyone is thrilled, it's us.

These beautiful pieces are a staple for anyone's wardrobe, so get a couple of these stunning styles to add to yours.

ADEAM: Honor the Old, Bring in the New

Hanako Maeda's company ADEAM has come out of almost nowhere. ADEAM is an anagram for Hanako's last name, Maeda. It's part of her company's philosophy. Honor the old, but bring in the new.

This philosophy is ingrained in Japanese culture, and in Hanako's design. She states, "We search out the beautiful in what we have inherited and imbue that beauty with new meaning in the present." Well we've found that beauty in her clothes.

Though born in Japan, Maeda moved to New York at the age of five, living there most of her life, and attended Columbia. There she studied Anthropology and Art History, but her real passion was designing.

In 2011, Maeda launched her label, ADEAM with a collection of 15 designs. A year later, the Japanese government gave her an invitation to present the company's Fall 2012 collection at Shanghai Fashion Week. ADEAM was subsequently invited to the Spring 2013 Tokyo Fashion Week and the Fall 2013 New York Fashion Week.

The style of her designs parallels her philosophy: conservative cuts and simple colors, but interesting combinations of materials and pieces create an entirely new spin on old ideas.

You can see more out on her website.
