"All women become like their mothers. That is their tragedy. No man does. That's his." -Oscar Wilde

Happy Tuesday Drobers! With Mother's Day just around the corner we thought we'd help you out with some gift ideas.

To personalize your gifts this season, take a look at some of our favorite iconic moms and channel your mother's unique personality.

Michelle Obama is writing the book for classic style without being stuffy. If your mother is timeless and chic, look to designers like Chanel, Kenneth Jay Lane, and Chloe to give her the perfect gift.

Jackie Kennedy did preppy better than any mom out there. If your mother loves the country club look, shop designers like Jil Sander and Matthew Williamson.

Yasmin Sewell knows how to stand out with unique prints and bold jewelry. If your mom is funky and fashionable Thakoon, Marni, and Vionnet are your go to designers.

Madonna dresses like a true power player and makes no apologies about it. If your mother calls for a commanding presence, give her something bold from Marc Jacobs or Temperley London.

Grace Kelly brought elegance to a new level! If your mother is feminine and full of southern charm, check out Rouland Mouret and Giles.

If your mother is a world traveler like Angelina Jolie, Marni and Altuzarra have some great options for her.

Here's to our selfless and eternally chic mothers! Happy shopping Drobers!

Shrunk Love for Punk? Met Gala 2013: Punk Eats Beauty

What happens when punk meets beauty?
Some extravagant sassiness for sure---for better or worse. Last night the Met went saucy with its annual Met Gala, kick starting their new exhibition "Punk: Chaos to Culture" on view from May 9th until August 4th.
MyDROBE picks out some incredible looks from the night, some treading on the threshold of "is this punk?" Thought to chew on: what is punk, anyway?

Coco Rocha wears Emanuel Ungaro

Panther gone Punk-ther? And it slits too.

Kim Kardashian wears Riccardo Tisci

Clearly there was another party going on.

Madonna wears Givenchy and tots in Casadei

Addams family gone punk?

Marc Jacobs wears Comme des Garçons and Sofia Coppola wears Marc by Marc Jacobs, of course

Kristen Stewart wears Stella McCartney

...and some looks just seem to truly redefine and explore how incredible punk can be.

Cara Delevingne is dashing in shocking Burberry

Killer hair + the classic countless studs.

Anne Hathaway wears Valentino

Who knew Anne Hathaway could be so punk? Our very own little chameleon...

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in a Gucci Fall 2013 gown

Who would've thought pairing olive silk fringes with lace could be pulled off so flawlessly?

Miranda Kerr kills it in Michael Kors

Clever crucifix. Piercing silver nails. Cunning.

Taylor Swift looking spicy in J.Mendel

Will punk stay around long enough for us to figure out its possibilities? We say let's do it.

And that's right Miley, we didn't feel the need to include you... we get it - you're punk.

Betsey Johnson, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Paul Smith

Fest Fashion: Jazz Fest 2013

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival took place this past weekend (and the weekend before) and despite a little rain (and mud) everything from the music to the fashion (and that insanely good food) was fabulous! Festers rocked out to some serious headliners like Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Billy Joel, Dave Matthews Band and Willie Nelson and of course some local talent from the incomparable Mia Borders to faves like Rockin' Dopsie, Jr. & the Zydeco Twisters.

So if you didn't get a chance to be there in person, don't feel bad (I mean, you can feel a little bad), check out these pics that we here at MyDROBE feel completely capture the essence of Jazz Fest 2013:

Liuzza's for Pre-Fest

There is simply NO Drama allowed at Jazz Fest

Sunday post-Fest, music on Royal Street (oh NOLA how we love you)

A mesmerized crowd stands together stylishly watching Fleetwood Mac... classic hat is a Fest must!

Papa Grows Funk takes Congo Square by storm... der.

Some more incredible Street Music

Drobe Approved Fest Fashion! Classic jorts and tops...

More fashionable Fest-ers! The hippie way is always the best way to Fest... tie dye and flowers...
yes please.

Chill Festers enjoy Willie Nelson after Galactic with some serious flare... who wouldn't?!

Drobe Worthy Fest fashion?  You decide...

Yeah... this happened.

And check out our very own Drober enjoying the festival in style (obviously!) Wearing an Only Hearts top, Chanel pin, JammyPack, J. Brand jorts, headband, braid and vintage blue shades and some extra flare.
Done and done.
